HOLY GODDAMN GIRL ARE YOU ME?!

This band is the reason I got into Korean too! It’s silly, but I wanted to learn Korean so that if I ever met them I would be able to tell them how they inspired me and essentially changed my life. I idolize these motherfuckers like nobody’s business, because they are simply amazing.

Of course, I didn’t find them because of Triangle, I found them in 2008, the era of Mirotic. The second song I ever heard of theirs was Balloons.. somehow that convinced me to stay, when most sane (aka: less fun) people would’ve run away once they saw grown ass men wearing furry suits. 

I miss OT5 too. I just can’t get into DBSK/Toho with only being two of them. I haven’t really listened to any of their new stuff except for Keep Your Head Down and Before U Go. Both made me sad, because those songs were solid and that would album would’ve been their best as 5 if they had stayed together. As it is, I pretty much floated off to go be a JYJ fangirl. Junsu and Jaejoong were always my favourite voices anyway.

I also haven’t kept the faith. I cant see Yunho and Changmin leaving SM, and the other three will never go back. Sad la. 

I’m going to go watch their last tour in the Tokyo Dome and cry a little bit now. 

UMMMM WE MUST BE TWINS SEPARATED AT BIRTH because yeah. That was originally part of the reason why I wanted to learn Korean too, or was one of the motivating factors! LOL. I was like “I WANT TO BE ABLE TO ARTICULATE HOW MUCH THEY MEAN TO ME ;_;” lolol. Nevermind that by the time I actually started learning Korean I had calmed down on the fangirl aspect of things, but still. They actually did change my life and get me through some rough times, therefore I am not ashamed to say that I also idolize them. Because damn, they are good. Say what you want about their music, but they’re talented. 

Also, YES, YES RE: OT5. I am the exact same way. I feel bad, because Yunho seems like such a great dude, and not to knock Homin as a duo, but I just… don’t pay attention to them. Mostly because I just have a hard time conceptualizing DBSK/Toho as two, and a lot because I find myself thinking “HOW AWESOME WOULD IT BE IF ALL 5 WERE THERE?” And yeah, ditto on the Junsu/Jaejoong bias. Hardcore. I actually found it kind of creepy that the three of them split off, because like… back in 2006, a group of my friends and I would fangirl over JYJ and totally ignore Homin, haha. Not because we disliked Homin, it just happened that way. But yeah. I’m glad that the split happened the way it did, because my little fangirl heart would have SHATTERED if Junsu/Jaejoong were separated. 

Srs biz, I know. But yeah, I haven’t kept the faith, either. Maybe one day, but things are… not looking good. That and I just have a lot of ~feelings~ re: who is better off, especially after seeing JYJ when they came to Vancouver.
